Dr. Squatch $9M False Advertising Class Action Settlement

No proof needed $9M Open for Claims

Consumers who bought Dr. Squatch products labeled as "natural" between Nov. 1, 2018, and Aug. 29, 2026, may qualify to claim up to $12.50 from a settlement.

Who qualifies and how to claim

Dr. Squatch agreed to pay $9 million as part of a class action settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its products as “natural” despite containing synthetic ingredients.

The Dr. Squatch settlement benefits consumers who purchased Dr. Squatch products labeled “natural” between Nov. 1, 2018, and Aug. 29, 2026.

According to a class action lawsuit, Dr. Squatch’s products are not as “natural” as the brand claims and, in reality, contain synthetic ingredients despite being marketed as “natural.” The plaintiffs claim they were misled by Dr. Squatch soap marketing and paid a premium for the brand’s products based on the false belief that they were “natural.”

Dr. Squatch is a men’s personal care brand that sells soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, cologne and other products.

Dr. Squatch has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to resolve these allegations with a $9 million class action settlement.

Under the terms of the Dr. Squatch settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of products they purchased during the class period and whether they can provide proof of purchase.

Class members can receive $0.50 for each purchased product. Class members who provide proof of purchase can claim up to 20 purchased products for a maximum payment of $10. Class members without proof of purchase can claim up to five purchased products for a maximum payment of $2.50. Class members with both types of claims, proof of purchase or no proof, can receive cumulative benefits or a maximum payment of $12.50.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 13, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Dr. Squatch soap class action settlement is scheduled for March 2, 2027.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Nov. 27, 2026.

The class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased certain Dr. Squatch products between Nov. 1, 2018, and Aug. 29, 2026.

Proof of purchase required for larger payments. Consumers must provide the name of the product purchased, the date of purchase and the location of purchase.
