Who qualifies and how to claim

Current Status

Claims are open. Claim forms must be submitted online or by email, or postmarked if mailed, on or before December 14, 2026; the notice does not name a time zone. King County Superior Court Judge Ken Schubert preliminarily approved the settlement on August 28, 2026, and the final approval hearing is set for January 14, 2027. No final approval order or payment date had been announced as of October 24, 2026. Filing online requires the LoginID and PIN printed on the notice.

What Changed Recently?

The settlement administrator began sending the court-approved notice in October 2026 (the notice carries a mailing date of October 13, 2026), which opened a 60-day window to file a claim, request exclusion or object. The settlement resolves a proposed class action filed February 3, 2025 in King County Superior Court. The plaintiff claimed that Quadrant Technologies LLC’s job postings for open positions in Washington did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation, which Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, RCW 49.58.110, requires of employers with 15 or more employees.

Quadrant Technologies disputes the claims, denies any liability or wrongdoing, and contends it has not violated any law. The court has not decided which side is right, and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing. Under the settlement agreement, Quadrant’s insurance company will pay the $900,000 on its behalf from the remaining limit of an eroding employment practices liability insurance policy.

Who Qualifies?

The court provisionally certified a settlement class of the plaintiff and all individuals who, from January 1, 2023 through July 26, 2025, applied for a job opening in the State of Washington with Quadrant Technologies, where the job posting did not disclose a wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits and other compensation to be offered to a hired applicant. Anyone who submits a valid request for exclusion is not part of the class.

Class members were identified from Quadrant’s application records, and the notice went to the people on that list. Quadrant represented in the settlement agreement that there could be as many as 35,000 applicants in the class, while stating its belief that the number entitled to damages is smaller because some applications were automated and others were duplicates. Every claim goes through a verification process.

The class period ends July 26, 2025. Under the current text of RCW 49.58.110, for postings from July 27, 2025 through July 27, 2027 an employer must be given an opportunity to correct a noncompliant posting before an applicant may seek remedies. Other Washington job posting settlements are collected on the Washington pay transparency settlements page.

How Much Can You Get?

The court-approved notice estimates a payment of $17.93 per person. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed amount.

The $900,000 settlement fund first covers attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses of $225,000, a $15,000 service award for the class representative, and settlement administration costs capped at $80,000. The remainder, the net settlement fund, is divided in equal shares among class members who submit a timely, valid claim form, up to a maximum of $5,000 per person. Because only valid claimants share the net fund, the final amount depends on how many valid claims are filed. Any amount left over after payments and costs goes to the Legal Foundation of Washington, not back to Quadrant.
